Endoscopy

All Creatures Animal Care Center is pleased to offer Endoscopy to pet patients in Madison, Ridgeland, Jackson, and Brandon, Mississippi. Endoscopy is a procedure that enables us to visualize the inside of a pet’s nasal cavity, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, bladder, and vaginal area while under general anesthesia. The GI tract is examined using a long flexible tube with a camera on the end; the images can be viewed on a video monitor. During the procedure, instruments can be inserted through the camera to obtain small samples of tissue (biopsies), or to retrieve foreign material. Instances where endoscopy is recommended may include recurrent acute or chronic vomiting, diarrhea that is unresponsive to typical medical therapy, and/or suspected ingestion of foreign bodies.

We are excited to announce that we purchased a new Storz endoscopy unit in 2021. This unit will allow our team to offer further diagnostics and treatments for our patients.  Please call All Creatures Animal Care Center if you are interested in this specialized procedure for your pet.
