Dr. Robert Filgo, DVM

Dr. Filgo graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. He practiced in a mixed-animal practice for 2 years, then practiced in emergency medicine for 1 year, and then took an associate position at Allen and Griffin Animal Hospital in Greenville, Mississippi from 1990-1995. In the spring of 1995, Dr. Filgo and Dr. McLeod founded All Creatures Animal Hospital in Madison, Mississippi. The hospital obtained accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association in 2016.

Dr. Filgo has special interest in cardiology and small animal pain management. He has participated in several advanced courses in cardiac ultrasound and diagnostics. Dr. Filgo also held a role as an E.L.I.T.E. field consultant for Advanced Sedation and Pain Management for Zoetis Animal Health, formerly Pfizer Animal Health, serving as a speaker in the area of anesthesia and pain management.

Dr. Filgo is past president of the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, and is currently the chairman of the Legislative Committee for this organization. He currently serves as an alternate Delegate to the AVMA for Mississippi, and is a member of the Dean’s Council, representing the College of Veterinary Medicine. His professional organization memberships include the American Heartworm Society, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, and the American Animal Hospital Association.

In his spare time, Dr. Filgo enjoys outdoor activities with his 3 daughters, Wesley, Wenston, and Willa, and his wife Courtney.
